Former supermodel, actress, and humanitarian Dayle Haddon tragically passed away on Friday at the age of 76 after what police suspect to be a carbon monoxide leak at a home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Authorities discovered Haddon’s body in the second-floor bedroom of a detached “in-law” suite, and toxicology reports are awaited to confirm the cause of death. The incident also affected several first responders due to carbon monoxide exposure.
Haddon, known for gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated and starring in films like The World’s Greatest Athlete, had a significant impact on both the modeling and humanitarian worlds. She was an advocate for girls’ education through her charity WomenOne and served as an ambassador for UNICEF.
Her death occurred at a property owned by her daughter, former journalist Ryan Haddon, and her son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas.
